KATE & ALEX COMBINED THEIR SENSE OF STYLE WITH A FLAIR FOR ENTERTAINMENT FOR THEIR BLACK TIE WEDDING AT HATFIELD PLACE. KEEP READING TO SEE THEIR NOD TO ALEX’S GREEK HERITAGE TOO…
People love a summer wedding for so many reasons and Kate & Alex’s Essex wedding was the perfect example. Being British, weather is a key topic of conversation and on Kate & Alex’s wedding day it didn’t disappoint! There was a little cloud cover at times, but it was a warm and rain-free day.
Adjoining the original house, Hatfield Place has a beautiful walled garden where Kate & Alex hosted their drinks reception – they enjoyed Champagne and canapes alongside garden games with their friends and family.
One of my favourite things about Hatfield Place is the picturesque staircase in the main entrance hall. After capturing forma group portraits on the lawn and some couples portraits in the grounds, we made our way inside the capture some romantic wedding photographs on the stairs.
The Greek Dancers…
There’s so much I could write about each and every wedding, and I always love to discover the personal touches you add to your wedding celebrations. As a nod to Alex’s Greek heritage, he and Kate invited a couple of traditional Greek dancers to entertain their guests in the evening! They were fantastic and really set the mood for an evening on the dance floor. Something like this to get your guests on the dance floor is a wonderful idea, and Kate & Alex danced the night away surrounded by their closest friends and family.
